Technical Analysis for Beginners
Free beginner education on reading price charts: candlesticks, trend, support and resistance, moving averages, and the honest limits of technical study.
Technical analysis is often sold as a prediction engine. Taught properly, it is a descriptive vocabulary for what a market has been doing — useful, bounded, and honest about uncertainty.
Chart anatomy
Time runs horizontally, price vertically. A candlestick encodes the open, high, low, and close of a single period; its wicks show levels that were reached but not held.
Structure over signals
Trend, range, and volatility describe conditions. Support and resistance identify areas where participation previously clustered. None of these guarantee what happens next, and levels break routinely.
The honest limit
No chart method predicts markets with certainty. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. This is why we pair every technical lesson with risk management.
